The weather is warming up, which means it's time to dust off the grill. These three crowd-pleasing recipes use fresh ingredients straight from our market and come together easily for a weekend full of flavor. Fire it up!
Recipe 1: Marinated chicken kebabs
Combine yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, and a pinch of salt. Toss in cubed halal chicken and marinate for at least two hours. Thread onto skewers with bell peppers and onions, then grill over medium-high heat for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until charred and juicy.
Recipe 2: Grilled vegetable platter
- Slice zucchini, eggplant, peppers, and red onion into thick pieces.
- Brush with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a little balsamic vinegar.
- Grill 4–5 minutes per side until tender with deep grill marks.
- Finish with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon.
Recipe 3: Spiced lamb chops
Rub fresh lamb chops with a mix of cumin, coriander, garlic, and olive oil. Let them rest at room temperature for 30 minutes, then sear on a hot grill for 3–4 minutes per side for a perfect medium. Rest for five minutes before serving with mint yogurt.
Round it out
Serve everything with warm flatbread, a crisp salad, and a pitcher of fresh-squeezed lemonade. All the ingredients are waiting for you in our aisles and at the butcher counter.
